I start a new job on Monday. Eight weeks of training before being released on my own. A cellular call-in center. After the initial interview and second interview that took an hour and a half, I was going to scream if I did not get the job. Give up on being able to job search and find something new because based upon my resume alone I have worked fast food and one retail job. Spending four years at the retail job does not necessarily mean I was doing anything to specialise my experience except that of the animals. Never did I think I would learn about Bearded Dragons, Blue-tongued Skinks, Green Cheek Conures, and an inane variety of fresh and salt water fish. 5 years ago I knew what a Betta was and a few types of snakes. So of course people have asked me why I am not going into veterinarian school. Easy. I do not want to work with animals. I am allergic to anything with feathers or fur. Touching the Guinea Pigs would make me break out in hives and have an allergy attack. Sneezing, watery eyes and runny nose.
