Blah. I know I should not be complaining about the heat here in the Pacific North West because we hardly get any nice days like this in the summer but, fuck. The humidity level is 63%, which is lower than normal for this area. I prefer dry heat over humid heat any day. Granted, when it gets into the 100*s-120*s in places it does not matter what the humidity is or is not. That is why I would never live in Arizona or Texas.
I registered for school and paid for the classes. Hopefully I will be reimbursed a little bit at the end of the quarter with a financial grant. I will be taking English 100 and Intro to Business Computing. For being in the generation that learned the new computers, I failed to pay attention during the learning process of Excel, Access and other Microsoft programs that are extremely useful in the business world. Especially since I want to get out of retail and the food industry. If I were able to get a job serving, I would not complain as much because I would at least be able to receive tips with my wage.

J. and I went camping Thursday night, the 2nd, by ourselves for the weekend. Originally it was going to be just for the night and possibly Friday night. We stayed until Saturday. Debated on staying until Sunday but me running around topless was murdering my skin and we were unsure if there was something fun to do or not back in town. Took the chance anyway. We waded through the river and climbed over rocks and walked across a fallen tree to find an awesome spot where I could lay on sand as he continued to hike. We had walkie-talkies and enjoyed playing with them. Quoted a bunch of Family Guy stuff when Stewie and Brian were trying to flip that house and Stewie kept saying how you had to say “over” after everything.
I fell on the embankment that was next to the fallen tree because of false ground. Bruised both knees, long scratch on left leg and ankle and other various injuries. It was all worth it though. We hiked a bit on the road after that in real shoes but it was hurting my swollen ankle too much so we went back to wading through the river and Continue Reading

A friend wrote a rant in her LJ and it helped me finally go on my rant about people using their fatness/laziness as an excuse and I ended up writing what is below in her LJ. I probably could go on a longer rant about this subject but, really? It is easily summed up in a few words anyway.
get off your ass and stop blaming others.
For starters, the amount of electronic scooters that are provided at grocery stores (since I work at one, obviously this is one of my main issues). When I see people with crutches or are elderly and withered, I understand but when it is because they are too fat to walk around safely or because they have back/knee/health problems because of the fatness, I get pissed. Get OFF your fucking ASS and walk around. Every little bit counts. Yes, you will not be able to breathe very well and it is difficult but fuck. Do not just give up on yourself and claim ‘obesity’ as a disability. Of course I understand that compulsive-over-eating is an eating disorder but just like any addiction, drugs, alcohol, not eating, etc, you have to mentally work on the reasons Continue Reading
