The past few weeks and weekends have been full of new adventures and experiences. Always feels good to shake things up out of my normal ordinary lack of a life-style routine.
After four years of the same job, I became employed with a new company with better pay, benefits, atmosphere, and safely within my physical capability. One of the biggest perks is my boyfriend can be on my insurance, after getting notarized that we are in a domestic partnership. My medical insurance starts June 1st. The portion that is being taken out of my pay cheques is $20 less than my last job for the both of us. Before only I was allowed and even if he was allowed on my insurance it would have cost over $100 each cheque. This is exciting for him because he can get the new glass and/or contacts he has needed for a while and he is also one of those weird people that do not mind the dentist whatsoever. He tries to do the bi-annual teeth cleaning and exam. After a few Valiums or Xanax is when I will go just for a teeth cleaning.
Having a work out facility on site is awesome to help get my body back into shape and to work on my physical therapy during my own time. After the 7+ mile trek I took with my boyfriend and another friend, getting stuck in the bat caves, and the damage my body retained from all of that was a really good fucking reminder how much my body became fucked up and worthless over this past year of abusing it with lots of alcohol even if I was trying not to move much because of the accident. Oops. fuck it.
We have tickets for the full weekend of Sasquatch. This will be interesting because I do not do well with lots of people that I am constantly around and camping on hard grounds. My asthma usually hates me some times too. But to live on and deal with it. Bjork and Beastie Boys better be worth it. If Sarah Silverman sucks I will spit on her.
